RUMOR is an interactive installation that creates a collective future out of a compilation of individual dreams. Visitors are invited through an interactive audio experience to imagine and voice their best possible future.
All contributions are continuously fused together by artificial intelligence - the core of RUMOR. RUMOR asks whether artificial intelligence can provide an alternative to our current democratic system. Can AI be used to counter polarization? With AI in hand, are we evolving toward a democracy 2.0? This project has roots in the idea that an image of a future, different world clashes with our current world. A dream for what is yet to come is also the announcement of change. And where there is difference, it chafes. What if it turns out that one person's dream is another person's nightmare?
