Science Café Leiden

On September 10th the Science Cafe Leiden has an event, "The Siege of Leiden in 1574". The author Olaf van Nimwegen will discuss the significance of the siege of Leiden in the context of the early years of the Eighty Years' War (1568-1648).
Before his lecture and during the break there will be live music by pianist Thijs Ronteltap. After the break there will be a Q&A session with Olaf van Nimwegen. This evening is co-sponsored by the 3 October Vereeniging, celebrating 450 years Leidens Ontzet (Relief of Leiden). The language of the evening will be Dutch.
